Getting Ready for the Wedding at Bayou Rum Distillery
Macey spent the morning getting ready in the charming bridal suite, a little green home on piers tucked right on the property. With her mom and sister by her side, she stepped into a sleek, strapless fitted gown with lace-attached sleeves—a modern yet timeless look that suited her vision perfectly. Her bridesmaids had the sweetest reaction when they saw her for the first time, making for such a special moment!
Meanwhile, Max got ready at their home, suiting up in a classic black tux. He and his groomsmen had a relaxed morning before heading to Bayou Rum for the couple’s first look, a moment filled with pure joy and happy tears.
A Stunning Outdoor Wedding at Bayou Rum Distillery
With a backdrop as beautiful as Bayou Rum’s timeless architecture, the ceremony space needed little decoration. KD Florals and Events designed elegant floral arrangements on the venue’s columns, framing the moment perfectly as Macey walked down the aisle. Her mother’s emotional reaction as she entered was one of my favorite moments to capture—it was clear just how much love surrounded them that day.
Their ceremony was short and sweet, filled with heartfelt words before they exchanged vows and officially became Mr. and Mrs. Davis!
A Chic & Elegant Reception at Bayou Rum
One of the most breathtaking elements of Bayou Rum is its barrel vault, where rows of aging rum barrels create an unmatched ambiance for a wedding reception. Macey and Max let the venue’s stunning architecture take center stage, complementing it with classic black-and-white decor and fresh floral arrangements that gave the space an elevated and sophisticated feel.
Guests enjoyed an incredible Louisiana-inspired meal by Lil Cochon’s Catering, followed by cake from Sweet Chic Bakery. As the night went on, everyone hit the dance floor to music by DJ FUSE Entertainment and even enjoyed the sounds of a live violinist, Megan Polk Music—such a unique and special touch!

One of the most exciting surprises of the night? Macey changed into her mother’s vintage wedding dress, which she had reconstructed into a short, chic reception dress! Seeing her twirl in such a sentimental piece was truly unforgettable.

A Magical Ending with a Sparkler Exit
To end the night in the most magical way, Macey and Max planned a sparkler exit, where their friends and family cheered them on as they walked hand-in-hand into their new chapter together. Before stepping outside, they shared one last private dance—a quiet moment to soak it all in before heading into a sea of glowing sparklers.
As they made their way through the sparkling tunnel, it was impossible not to feel the excitement and love surrounding them. It was the perfect way to wrap up their unforgettable Bayou Rum wedding day!
A Love Rooted in Louisiana
One of the sweetest details about their wedding location? Lacassine holds a special place in their hearts. Max took Macey fishing on one of their first dates in the nearby Lacassine Pool, and they dream of one day building their home in the area. Choosing Bayou Rum Distillery as their venue felt like the most natural and meaningful choice—a true celebration of their love and future together.
